Application Form Terms and Conditions  
  1. The PetroBonus scheme and the Petro Card shall be honoured at select Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. retail outlets (BPCL RO).
  2. The card will be issued only to individuals above 18 years of age.
  3. The application form for enrolment will be available at the BPCL RO and has to be filled in and handed over to the dealer along with Rs. 250 in cash.
  4. The enrolment fee of Rs. 250 is non-refundable.
  5. The card will be delivered to the customer within 21 working days of depositing the completed application form and the initial application money with the issuing dealer.
  6. The PetroBonus Program Membership is valid for a period of 3 years from the date of issue. However, in case of you being an active user of Petro Card, your membership would be renewed for a further period of 3 years. The Petromiles earned are valid for a period of 3 years from the date of earning those Petromiles, subject to having a valid Membership. However, on expiry of the Membership and/or expiry of the Petromiles, the Member shall be given the benefit of 3 months from the date of expiry of the Petro miles during which he or she can redeem these Petromiles.
  7. The card will have the electronic equivalent of the cash loaded on the chip which will be referred to as e-cash. The amount to be loaded on the card will have to be deposited in cash at the retail outlet having a loading facility.
  8. The e-cash is a payment towards future purchases.
  9. The Petro Card can be utilised for the purchase of Fuel, Lubricants, convenience products and other authorised items at select BPCL ROs.
  10. The minimum load amount at each time would be Rs. 500. Any additional amount desired to be loaded would be in multiples of
    Rs. 100.
  11. A single load is limited to an amount of Rs. 5,000 paid in cash.
  12. The card is not transferable and intended for personal use only. Any liability arising due to card loss, misuse, or out of sharing of PIN consciously or otherwise, would render the card holder liable for all losses.
  13. The card holder will be solely responsible for the inconvenience or inability to use the card due to forgetting the PIN.
  14. The card holder needs to take adequate precautions to protect the card and prevent damage. Replacement of cards will be at the cost of Rs. 50/- irrespective of the reason for damage.
  15. Loss of the card should be intimated to BPCL immediately. BPCL shall arrange to hot-list the card within 48 hours. However, BPCL shall not be liable for any misuse whatsoever during the interim period.
  16. If the lost hotlisted card is subsequently found, it cannot be de-hotlisted and the card holder will have to apply for a replacement card.
  17. A transaction slip would be generated at the time of transaction which should be checked for accuracy of details. Any dispute on the debits can be verified and corrective action taken only if the transaction slip is provided to BPCL.
  18. In order to avail of the Birthday Bonus of 250 Petromiles, the card holder needs to use the card for any transaction within 7 days of his/her Birthday, e.g. if the Birthday of the card holder is on 15th January, he/she can avail of the Birthday Bonus ONLY if he/she uses his/her Petro Card between 15th and 21st January.
  19. BPCL shall be introducing a variety of reward schemes from time to time. These will be intimated as and when introduced.
  20. BPCL reserves the right to reject any application at its sole discretion.
  21. The customer permits BPCL to use the information provided in the application form for issuance of the card in database activities. However, BPCL would ensure confidentiality.
  22. All telephone instructions received and verified by two unique identifiers shall be deemed proper and BPCL shall not be liable for executing these instructions in good faith. All such telephone instructions will be treated as having been written and signed.
  23. BPCL reserves the right to change the terms and conditions without prior notice.
